Maikel Garcia went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a walk for Kansas City, carrying a .278 average with 16 RBIs this season. Bobby Witt collected two hits in four at-bats, maintaining his .302 average. The Royals offense managed eight hits but couldn't sustain their early momentum.
