Chase Meidroth anchored Chicago's comeback with a three-run homer in the fifth inning, going 1-for-4 with three RBI. Hill delivered the decisive blow in the eighth, connecting on a 417-foot blast to left center for his third home run of the season.
Kansas City jumped ahead early on back-to-back homers in the first inning. Bobby Witt Jr. opened the scoring with a 373-foot shot to right, followed immediately by Salvador Perez's 381-foot homer to right center.
