Trevor Rogers was brilliant for Baltimore across seven innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits with 6 strikeouts and no walks over 88 pitches. He departed with the game tied, and neither bullpen allowed a run again until the 10th inning turned everything upside down. Rogers did not factor into the decision despite the strong start.
The inning began with Baltimore's James Jarvis grounding into a fielder's choice that scored Hicklen and gave Atlanta the lead for good, aided by a throwing error from second baseman Holliday that let Bart reach third.
