CWS struck first when Sam Antonacci homered to right center in the first inning, a 388-foot shot that gave the visitors a 1-0 lead. Baltimore answered in the fifth. Tyler O'Neill tied it with a 430-foot home run to left. Then Adley Rutschman singled to left, and Holliday scored to give Baltimore its first lead of the night. Taylor Ward added a sacrifice fly to right, scoring Alexander, and Henderson scored on a wild pitch by Richards to cap a four-run frame. Blaze Alexander tripled to right in the sixth, scoring Taveras, and Leody Taveras capped the scoring with a 412-foot home run to left in the eighth.
Noah Schultz absorbed the loss for CWS, falling to 2-5. He lasted 4.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 2 hits and 4 walks while striking out 7, with a 5.86 ERA. The White Sox managed just 4 hits on the night.
Baltimore snapped a three-game losing streak to improve to 39-47, sitting fourth in the division. CWS, which entered having won its previous game, fell to 44-39 atop the division standings.
