Milwaukee broke open a close game with five runs over the final three innings, defeating Colorado 7-1 at Coors Field. The Brewers turned a 2-1 advantage into a rout with three runs in the seventh and two more in the eighth.
Jacob Misiorowski earned the victory with seven innings of one-run ball, allowing four hits while striking out eight. The right-hander scattered three walks but worked around trouble to improve to 7-2 with a 1.50 ERA.
Brice Turang provided the offensive spark with two home runs, including a leadoff shot in the first inning and a solo blast in the eighth. William Contreras homered in the seventh to break the game open, and Jake Bauers added a solo shot in the eighth. David Hamilton went 4-for-5 with a home run in the second inning.
Zach Agnos suffered his first loss of the season, allowing two runs over three innings for Colorado. The Rockies managed just one run when Kyle Karros doubled home Edouard Julien in the fifth inning, but could not sustain any offensive momentum against Milwaukee's pitching.
Milwaukee improved to 38-23 and snapped a losing streak. Colorado fell to 24-40 and extended its losing streak to two games.
