The White Sox built an early lead and never looked back, defeating the Twins 6-2 at Rate Field behind a strong start from Davis Martin and a five-run outburst through three innings.

Martin dominated over six innings, allowing 2 hits and 1 run while striking out 5 to improve to 8-1 with a 2.00 ERA. The right-hander walked 2 but controlled the strike zone throughout his 84-pitch outing.

Chicago struck first when Montgomery singled to center, scoring Vargas in the opening frame. The White Sox broke the game open in the third inning with four runs.
