Harrison (5-1) allowed just two hits and one walk across his seven-inning effort, carrying a 1.77 ERA. He faced minimal trouble throughout, retiring the side in order four times while dominating Chicago's lineup with 94 pitches.
The Brewers broke through in the second inning when Hamilton singled to center, scoring Frelick and Ortiz on a fielding error by center fielder Crow-Armstrong. Hamilton also scored on the play, giving Milwaukee a 3-0 lead. Bauers extended the advantage in the third with an RBI single to right that brought home William Contreras. Hamilton added the final run in the seventh, scoring on a wild pitch by Phil Maton.
Edward Cabrera (3-2) absorbed the loss for Chicago, allowing 4 runs in three innings. The right-hander gave up four hits and two walks while striking out two, with only one of the four runs charged as earned due to the defensive miscue.
Milwaukee improved to 28-18 and extended their winning streak to two games. The Cubs fell to 29-20, dropping their fourth straight contest.
