The game belonged to the pitchers until the ninth inning changed everything. Jacob Misiorowski dominated for seven innings, but Gavin Sheets' three-run homer with two outs lifted San Diego to a 3-1 victory over Milwaukee at American Family Field.

Misiorowski was masterful through seven innings, allowing four hits while striking out 10 without issuing a walk. The right-hander carried a 2.12 ERA into the game and gave Milwaukee every chance to win with his 93-pitch effort.

Milwaukee took a 1-0 lead in the fifth when Turang grounded into a fielder's choice to first, scoring Frelick while Chourio was thrown out at second. The Brewers managed nine hits but couldn't add to their advantage.

Abner Uribe entered for the ninth and couldn't hold the lead. Sheets homered to right center, a 389-foot blast that scored Johnson and Bogaerts for the decisive three-run swing. Uribe allowed three runs on two hits and a walk in his lone inning, taking the loss.

Milwaukee's five-game winning streak ended as they fell to 23-16. San Diego snapped a one-game losing streak to improve to 24-17.
