Tomoyuki Sugano absorbed the loss for Colorado, allowing five runs on seven hits over five innings. The veteran right-hander struck out two and walked one, falling to 3-3 with a 4.07 ERA. The Rockies managed six hits but never mounted a serious threat against Philadelphia's pitching.
Schwarber finished 3-for-4 with two home runs and two RBIs, extending his season totals to 16 homers and 27 RBIs. Brandon Marsh collected four hits in four at-bats, raising his average to .353. Philadelphia improved to 18-22 while Colorado fell to 16-24.
