The Dodgers struck immediately against Shota Imanaga. Ohtani scored on Pages' sacrifice fly to right, then Rojas doubled to left to bring home T. Hernández and Tucker for a 3-0 lead. Los Angeles added single runs in the sixth and seventh innings, with Rushing's RBI single and Tucker scoring on a pickoff error before Ohtani homered to left center.
Imanaga lasted just 5.1 innings, allowing six hits and five earned runs while walking three. The Cubs managed only four hits against Dodgers pitching and committed two errors that contributed to the margin.
Los Angeles improved to 18-9 and snapped a brief losing streak. Both Ohtani and Miguel Rojas sit three doubles away from 200 career doubles.
