MJ Melendez homered to right center in the fifth inning to give New York a 1-0 lead, but the Cubs answered in the ninth when Michael Conforto doubled to right, scoring Scott Kingery to tie the game 1-1. In the 10th, Hoerner hit a sacrifice fly to right that brought Pete Crow-Armstrong home for the winning run.
