The Dodgers seized control early and never let go, routing Colorado 7-1 behind Tyler Glasnow's commanding performance and Max Muncy's two-homer night at Coors Field.
Glasnow (2-0) scattered two hits over seven innings, striking out seven while allowing just one run. The right-hander carried a 3.24 ERA into the game and needed only 92 pitches to dominate the Rockies lineup, walking two in his most efficient outing of the season.
Muncy provided the offensive firepower with a solo homer in the second inning and a double that scored Smith in the third. The first baseman completed his night with another solo shot in the fifth, finishing 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Smith contributed two RBIs, including a sacrifice fly that scored Ohtani in the opening inning.
Tomoyuki Sugano (1-1) struggled through four innings for Colorado, surrendering nine hits and five runs while striking out three. The veteran right-hander threw 91 pitches but could not contain the Dodgers' balanced attack that produced 13 hits.
Los Angeles extended its winning streak to three games and improved to 14-4. Colorado snapped a losing streak but fell to 7-12. Glasnow sits 19 strikeouts away from 1,000 career strikeouts, while Ohtani remains six doubles from 200 career doubles.
