Kyle Schwarber carried the Philadelphia offense with two home runs and three RBIs, going 2-for-3 with a walk. His first blast came in the opening inning, a 414-foot shot to center field. He struck again in the third with a two-run homer to center that traveled 417 feet and scored Turner. Brandon Marsh added three hits and two RBIs, while J.T. Realmuto contributed three singles and three RBIs in the victory.

Chicago mounted a late rally in the eighth inning, scoring five runs highlighted by Swanson's two-run homer in the fourth and multiple Philadelphia errors that allowed additional runs to cross.
