Kyle Tucker addressed reporters at a Los Angeles Dodgers press conference on July 3, 2026, discussing his recent offensive resurgence after four strong games.
Tucker said his swing and approach have both improved noticeably. "The last, you know, four games felt a lot better. Saw the ball really well, put the barrel on the ball," he said. He added that cage work during a Sacramento stint was a turning point, noting he "felt a lot better once I got into the cage and kind of did some stuff in Sacramento" and was then able to carry that improvement into games.
Tucker described his improved zone control as the core of his approach. "If they throw it on the corners or right off the edge, I'm able to take them, but when they do come over the plate with a pitch, I'm able to put it in play," he explained. Manager Dave also highlighted Tucker's zone control as the standout element of his recent improvement. Tucker noted he had four walks in one game and four hits plus a walk in another during the stretch.
Tucker also mentioned pitcher Roki's contribution during a difficult stretch of play, stating that Roki "was able to get through four innings and still give us about 100 pitches right there" while the team was down six runs. Tucker emphasized the club's collective mindset, noting, "As a team overall, we feel like we're never out of a game — even down six early."
Tucker also praised center fielder Andy P for a difficult over-the-shoulder catch, describing how Andy P "turned around, put his head down right away, spun to the wall, turned back around, was able to find the ball and make a really good catch right there." Tucker called it a huge play and a huge out for the club.
Looking ahead, Tucker stated his focus is on consistency, saying his goal is to "just try to continue that, make them consistent" — building on what he has done over the four-game stretch heading into the remainder of the 2026 season.
