The Toronto Blue Jays designated Josh Fleming for assignment after he pitched three innings in relief, allowing four earned runs.
Fleming allowed four earned runs in three innings against the Dodgers and threw 77 pitches during his outing. The left-hander had been added to the roster prior to the previous game when Austin Voth was designated for assignment.
Fleming posted a 4.02 ERA with one win and one loss in 25 pitching appearances during the 2024 season. He spent the entire 2025 season in the minor leagues before returning to the majors.
Patrick Corbin takes Fleming's roster spot as the Blue Jays continue cycling through pitchers due to recent setbacks. Since Fleming is out of options, the team will likely place him on waivers in the coming days, and he would have the right to elect free agency if he clears.
