Peter Lambert Signs Minor League Deal with Astros

Peter Lambert signed a minor league contract with the Houston Astros and will report to Triple-A Sugar Land.

Lambert was in camp with Houston earlier in March 2026 but triggered an out clause after being informed he wouldn't make the MLB roster. He spent a brief period as a free agent but didn't find a big league opportunity.

The right-hander posted a 4.26 ERA across 116 1/3 innings in Japan during the 2025 season. Lambert pitched 12 1/3 innings this spring, allowing four runs while recording eight strikeouts and issuing five walks.
