He originally signed a seven-year, $245 million deal with the Angels before the 2020 season, but injuries limited him to 257 games over five years. In December 2025, the Angels restructured the final year of that contract. The $38 million owed for 2026 was deferred: Rendon receives $7.6 million in current-year cash, with the remaining $30.4 million paid in four equal installments of $7.6 million from 2027 through 2030.
