Miller allowed just one hit and two walks across 94 pitches, earning his second win of the season. The right-hander carried a 1.33 ERA into the contest and maintained his early-season dominance against a Tigers lineup that managed only two hits all night.
Seattle built its lead methodically over three innings. Arozarena scored on Canzone's double to center in the second inning. The Mariners added two runs in the third when Arozarena doubled to right, scoring both Naylor and Rodríguez. Canzone capped the scoring in the fourth with a 451-foot home run to center.
Keider Montero absorbed the loss for Detroit, allowing all four runs over five innings. The right-hander gave up six hits and struck out just one batter, falling to 2-4 on the season with a 3.95 ERA.
The victory snapped a two-game losing streak for Seattle, which improved to 33-31 and maintained its division lead. Detroit's four-game winning streak ended as the Tigers fell to 26-38. Arozarena sits five runs away from 500 career runs scored.
