Oakland turned a tied game into a comfortable victory with three runs over the final four innings, defeating Seattle 5-2 at T-Mobile Park. The Athletics erased multiple deficits before pulling away late for their first win after a loss.
Jacob Lopez earned his second win of the season, allowing seven hits and two runs over 5.1 innings with a walk and four strikeouts. Carrying a 5.70 ERA, Lopez worked around trouble to keep Oakland within striking distance. Jack Perkins closed out the final two innings without allowing a hit, striking out two for his first save.
The decisive blow came in the seventh inning when Langeliers homered to center field, a 417-foot blast that gave Oakland a 4-2 lead. Wilson added insurance in the ninth, singling to center to score Kurtz. The Athletics had earlier taken leads on Tyler Soderstrom's RBI double in the first and Jeff McNeil's solo homer in the fourth, only to see Seattle answer both times.
Luis Castillo matched Lopez through five innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out six. His ERA stands at 5.01. Eduard Bazardo took the loss after surrendering one run in the seventh inning, including Langeliers' go-ahead homer.
Oakland improved to 12-11 and holds first place in the division. Seattle fell to 10-14 and fourth place. Langeliers is four home runs away from 100 career homers, while McNeil sits two doubles away from 200 career doubles.
