Woodruff allowed just three hits and one walk while striking out four, earning his second win of the season. The right-hander carried a 2.66 ERA into the game and dominated Miami's lineup through seven innings before turning the game over to the bullpen.

The Brewers broke a 1-1 tie in the fifth inning when Brice Turang launched a two-run homer to center field, scoring William Contreras from first base. Milwaukee added insurance runs in the sixth, as Garrett Mitchell scored on Sal Frelick's fielder's choice grounder and Joey Ortiz came home on Turang's RBI single to center.

Sandy Alcantara struggled with his command for Miami, walking six batters over five innings while allowing five hits and three earned runs. The right-hander took the loss, falling to 2-2 with a 3.06 ERA. Miami managed just eight hits against Milwaukee pitching and scored twice in the ninth inning when Otto Lopez crossed the plate on Heriberto Hernández's fielder's choice.

The victory extended Milwaukee's winning streak to three games, improving their record to 11-8. Miami dropped to 9-11 with their third consecutive loss.
