The Baltimore Orioles outrighted reliever Jackson Kowar and infielder Bryan Ramos to Triple-A Norfolk after both players cleared waivers.

The Game Network — Where History Is Kept

Kowar and Ramos were designated for assignment on March 25, 2026 when Baltimore set their Opening Day roster. The Orioles acquired Ramos from the Chicago White Sox for cash during the late offseason, briefly lost him on waivers to the St. Louis Cardinals, then claimed him back. Kowar came over from the Minnesota Twins in a cash trade at the beginning of Spring Training 2026.

Ramos batted .316 with a home run in 15 spring training games in 2026. He batted .216/.309/.396 across 431 plate appearances with the White Sox's top affiliate in the 2025 season. Kowar had four walks and strikeouts apiece over six spring training innings in 2026. Ramos posted a .167 batting average with 0 home runs and 2 RBIs for Baltimore in the 2025 season, and batted .202 with 3 home runs and 11 RBIs in the 2024 season.

Kowar has allowed more than eight earned runs per nine with 20.3% strikeout and 13.1% walk rates over 91 MLB innings in his career. Both players will remain in the organization without holding a spot on the 40-man roster.
