Max Scherzer re-signed with the Toronto Blue Jays on a one-year contract.

Scherzer posted a 5.19 ERA over 85 innings in 17 appearances during the 2025 season. He struck out 23% of batters faced against a 6.4% walk rate, with his fastball averaging 93.6 mph.
Scherzer signed a $15.5 million deal with the Blue Jays during the 2024-25 offseason after being limited to nine starts for the Rangers in 2024 following back surgery.
